Kendrick Lamar Goes For The Throne and Disses Fellow new school rappers including Asap Rocky, Drake, Pusha T

Long gone are the days when rappers baldly call out each other on tracks. Think again, on his verse for Big Sean’s song ‘ control’ the rapper calls out a bunch of new york rappers, claiming the throne as king of the new school New York rappers and daring any of them to challenge him. The verse reads as follows:

” New niggas just new niggas….
I’m usually homeboys with the same niggas I’m rhymin’ wit.
But this is hip hop and them niggas should know what time it is.
And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Millz, A$AP Rocky, Drake Big Sean,Jay Electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller.
I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you niggas.
Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you niggas.
They don’t wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you niggas.
What is competition? I’m tryna raise the bar high Who tryna jump and get it?”

Seems like the rapper is trying to set a new tone, bringing back the competition that has driven so many rappers to bring out the best in them. But will this be to the same extreme as Jay Z vs Nas or Pac vs Biggie. I doubt it. If you ask me I would say it is all a carefully thought out publicity stunt that Will push records on all camps and give these rappers some good media exposure.

However if beef was actually to break out. Which one of this rappers do you think would win and who do you think deserves to be crowned as king of the new school rappers ?
